Go On, Make Music!

Those wishing to make music with disabled people now have easy access to the resources used successfully for many years in Living My Song workshops. On the 'Features' pages of www.livingmysong.org.uk, you can read how we have resourced sessions for people with a wide range of special needs, making use of the remarkable MIDIgrid software. Many of the resources we created are now published, by The Full Pitcher, as the GridPlay fo Carers/Teachers package.

GridPlay is The Full Pitcher's own read-only version of MIDIgrid. The parent program has been used to create numerous 'grids, each a dedicated mini-application. Together they support the full range of activities enjoyed by our special needs music groups.In this package, they are brought together with copious suggestions for using them to share music with disabled individuals or groups, along with sheet music of original songs and advice on setting up and developing groups.

The grids fall into two groups- those that provide virtual instruments playable with trackballs, joysticks and a range of switches and those which provide repertoire for a wide range of satisfying activities. Those users who also purchase the MIDIgrid software can use the latter to edit the grids as the basis of their own customised resources.
